DIY Universe
This series began as a question I could not get out of my head while listening to a radio show on how to make a "DIY Universe". The scientist on the program sought to meld theoretical physics, poetry and the belief in unseen events, to push matter from a point of infinite density to infinite expansion. He said by pressing any two things together one could set in motion a series of events, the conditions for a floating universe. What would a new universe look like? How does one convey infinity? If I used my page and charcoal, reacting to the incidental touch and pressure of materials, could I create the gossamer and density of something beginning?
